2021 Honda Civic Comes With Minor Design And Tech Upgrades

Usually, Honda redesigns their Civic model every 4 to 6 years. The 2021 Honda Civic is still part of the 10th generation that has been introduced in 2015. It features some minor styling changes and some updated technologies.

From the outside, the Civic retains most of its signature design lines. There are the same crab-claw-shaped taillights and the same headlights. The rear bumper has been changed, now featuring grilles placed on the sides. From the front side, the car looks the same as no major changes were introduced. The same goes for the sides and available colors and rims.

The interior of the 2021 Honda Civic retains its conservative personality. The dashboard is made of a soft-touch plastic material with a central line that goes from door to door, imitating wood. The steering wheel remained the same but the infotainment system has been upgraded. It sits well integrated into the dashboard with physical buttons for the most common commands. The central console and instrument cluster are all focused on the driver as everything is easy to reach and information is always displayed in a convenient manner that makes it easy to see. Lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, assisted parking and all safety kit options are well laid out and easy to reach from the driver seat.

In terms of engines and transmission, there is not much to choose from. The 2021 Honda Civic will come with there are only two engine options. Both are 2-liter 4 cylinder engines with either 158 or 174 HP at 6000 RPM. For transmission options, the manual has been removed and there are only two CVT options, the M-CVT and the LL-CVT. The base trim level which is now called the LX comes with the 158 HP engine and the M-CVT transmission as standard. The EX, EX-L, and Touring versions have the more powerful engine option.
