2021 Mazda Mazda3 Is Still The Same Affordable Luxury Hatch

The 2020 Mazda 3 was so good that for the 2021 model year, Mazda did not have to change much. The bottom line is that when comparing the two, the 2021 Mazda Mazda3 is almost the same car, meaning it is still the same stunning-looking mid-range hatch with an almost premium interior.

Exterior:

On the outside, the Mazda 3 preserves the same design language. The front grille is large, occupying most of the front bumper but it is less disturbing than what we see on other brands. It has narrow headlights that make it look more aggressive and creases on the hood that extends to the bumper.

The rear of the hatch makes use of rounded shapes with no creases at all. The taillights are also narrow and have two rounded sets of indicators. Just like the rear, there are no sharp creases on the sides. The 2021 Mazda Mazda3 focuses mostly on fluid lines and curved shapes except for the hood and front bumper.

Interior:

The interior of the 2021 Mazda Mazda3 will not disappoint. It has a premium finish with a stitched leather-covered dashboard and an infotainment display that despite being narrow, it is easy to read. The display has been placed in an upper position to make it easy to see for the driver. Climate controls, seat heating, and other common buttons have been laid out on the central console, positioned like piano buttons. Also, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay now come as standard on the 2021 model year.

Engine and transmission:

The 2021 Mazda Mazda3 has only a 2.5 4-cylinder engine. As an option, Mazda added the possibility to add an AWD system. Cars with the AWD system can only have an automatic transmission. Purists that want a manual 2021 Mazda Mazda 3 will have to settle for the front-wheel-drive version with the 2.5-liter engine and 250 HP.
